Two weekends ago, I had the pleasure of attending Melissa Channel #Goals: BOSS Talk & Vision Board Party that was sponsored by Pardon My Fro & One Hope Wines where we received some great tips from Dana & Melissa on how to be motivated and unfearful of our journeys in becoming #entrepreneurs and/or #fulltimebloggers even if it requires you quitting your 9-5 job.
After our #bosstalk, we dive right into networking with the ladies at our table and creating our vision boards. This was my very first time creating a vision board and I was super excited!! So, I decided to do a blog post on an overview of my experience of creating my #visionboard.
The experience was very different. I’m flipping through all the magazines on the table, talking and chatting, and I’m literally just cutting so much out. I found myself having so many goals, but I knew I had to narrow it down eventually before putting it on the board because it was just not all going to fit. Some pictures were bigger than I expected so they got eliminated pretty quickly. The other ones were just solely based on what was more important as a vision in 2019.
When I look at my vision board every day, I knew I wanted it to be something that challenged me. Make me work twice as hard, and just keep pushing for something that I felt like maybe for me was impossible.
So I added multiple brands on my board that I knew would be such a challenge to become an influencer for. I knew it would take so much work to date and find the guy that God sees fit for me. And just working out, and having a healthier lifestyle was going to be something to keep me on my peas and cues.
I knew it was going to be a challenge to ensure my followers on all of my social media outlets that I have stuff together, and that I was the stuff (okay, and I will be before the year-end in 2019, lol). My bucket list was something I knew I was going to be able to complete but it was honestly about putting myself in that position to complete it.
It was going to be hard to network and find other #bloggers around me because I’m a homebody and I completely love my space. It’s not that I don’t like people, I just find that I prefer things a certain way, and my environment to be filled with a certain energy. So if I put on my vision board to have #bloggerbesties, then I knew I would make it happen!
And lastly, to have a dog is my biggest vision for 2019! I know you probably like what, why? Well, growing up, we have always keep a dog around and I miss that! I want to have that protection, the snuggles, and so much more. It’s like a completely different feeling and I know that I’m capable of taking care of a dog but it’s all about convincing my parents to allow me to have it in the house.
So, yes, my vision board is pretty simple but it also challenges me. It challenges me to overcome my fears and to just really work hard for what I want in my life. Some things were not listed on my vision board, but it doesn’t mean that it’s not a goal. It’s still completely a goal, it could just take a day, a week, or even months for the goal to be completed. It solely depends on me.
I’m hoping that my #visionboard experience and goals have inspired you to go out and make your own vision board for 2019 even if you have to do by yourself! It will be worth it in the end, I promise.
